Three Point Gospel Message
1. Jesus defines us: Romans 3:11-12 There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one."
2. Jesus diagnoses us: Mark 7:15 "There is nothing that enters a man from outside which can defile him; but the things which come out of him, those are the things that defile a man.
3. Jesus saves us: Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Four Steps to God
1. God is the loving creator: Psalm 100:3 Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
2. Humanity has broken God's law: Psalm 14:2-3 The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.
3. Jesus Christ has restored the relationship between creator and creation: Romans 5:6-8 For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
4. Respond through: repent, believe, and receive: Acts 17:30 "Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name. Christianity As Defined By Jesus I am the bread of life (John 6.35) I am the way and the truth and the life (John14:6) I am the light of the world (John 8:12) Come to me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Mat 11:28)
