Heather Levay -Nairobi, Kenya
In August of 2003 Heather went to Kenya with a short-term missions team. While in Kenya Heather was able to serve at two different orphanages, Imani Childrens Home and Sons of King Jesus.
In the fall of 2004 God opened up another opportunity for Heather to return to Kenya to serve for three months. While in Kenya Heather was able to serve at Imani Children's home, helping out with the babies in the baby house as well as helping with Bible studies for the children. Heather was also given the opportunity to visit with some Maasai ladies, and teach a Bible study there.
In November of 2006 God opened up another opportunity for Heather to return to Kenya, this time for one year. In the year that Heather was in Kenya, she was able to work with Living Water Christian Fellowship (a Calvary Chapel in Nairobi). Heather helped start/lead the worship team there, as well as help start the children's ministry there. Heather also spent time with the Maasai ladies that she met while in Kenya in 2004. While with the Maasai ladies Heather was able to teach them about CPR, first aid, childbirth, as well as she was able to share what God was teaching her out of the book of Philippians.
Heather would like to take this chance to say a huge thank you to everyone who prayed for her while she was in Kenya!
